News from Kititi village and Cornerstone school
Cornerstone nursey and primary school opened up in January and the new headteacher Martin Oguti together with all the teachers welcomed the children back. It was a huge turn out and everyone, pupils and teachers, were excited and happy to be back.
Some children may be absent from class because of the cost of school uniform, books and stationery. PfHU has managed to pay for these so that all children can attend school. The women's cooperative has made dresses, shirts and shorts which the Cornerstone social worker has been giving out to those in desperate need.
The Cornerstone cooks, Ritah,Harriet and Kyote are making sure that all children attending school are having a mug of porridge at break time. and cooked flour (posho) at lunch time The maize flour for this has been grown by the women's cooperative and will last a full term.
