#GiveBackGetBack with BANC
LAST CHANCE TO APPLY!
Dear <<First Name>>,

Have you applied to work on a BANC pro bono consulting project yet? We have six great projects, working with nonprofits serving a variety of missions - see below for details. Applications are open only until this Friday, March 18.

For the first time, we are opening applications to all Booth alums, regardless of location (please be aware that meetings will be held on Central Time).

Want to learn more? Join us at live virtual information sessions on Wednesday, March 16 (afternoon and evening sessions available) which will provide an introduction to BANC, give an overview of the projects, and answer questions. Register HERE.

Meet the six nonprofits (visit the BANC website for more information about these organizations, project details, and relevant skills):
Chicago Foundation for Women works with donors and local partners on the front lines to fund projects serving over 70,000 women, girls, transgender and gender non-binary individuals focusing on work and economic security, freedom from violence and access to health.
Project Objective: Evaluate current financial systems and processes, identify current pain points and develop requirements for a comprehensive integrated analysis and reporting system to inform key decisions and stakeholders.
Comer Education Campus supports youth power, equity, and possibility through holistic schooling, career exploration, personal and professional enrichment, and expansive learning opportunities.
Project Objective: Develop a detailed strategic implementation plan for Comer’s new initiative to help youth succeed post high school, including recommendations on organizational structure and processes.
Glen Ellyn Food Pantry provides essential groceries and support to all neighbors at risk of hunger through a collaboration of local churches and the broader community in central DuPage county.
Project Objective: Develop a strategic framework for a 5 year plan that balances growth initiatives with understanding and enhancing existing capacity after moving to a new location this year.
Leukemia Research Foundation is dedicated to conquering all blood cancers by funding research into their causes and cures, and enriching the quality of life of those touched by these diseases.
Project Objective: Help LRF identify KPI critical to gauge progress after a planned strategic shift to focus on only leukemia, a big pivot that will impact different aspects of the organization.
Loaves & Fishes Community Services operates one of the largest food pantries in Illinois, providing food assistance and community programs through three locations to residents of DuPage, Will, Kane and Kendall counties.
Project Objective: Map inventory flow and recommend a food inventory system that can efficiently match unpredictable food donations with client needs, streamline operations and provide timely feedback.
Serenity House Counseling Services provides substance abuse services to hundreds of men and women each year in their extended residential, outpatient, intensive outpatient, DUI services, special adolescent programs, and recovery home programs.
Project Objective: Develop a strategic growth plan, including market analysis and evaluating buy/ partner/ organic growth strategies.
Key dates:
  • Virtual info sessions: Wednesday March 16
  • Application deadline: Friday, March 18
  • Selection notification: Thursday, April 14
  • Mandatory virtual orientation: Week of April 25

Projects are expected to be completed within six months. We welcome applications from all alumni. The skills that we list are required across the entire team, not from any single individual. What we value most is the desire to give back.

We look forward to receiving your applications! Not ready to apply? Join our mailing list and follow us on LinkedIn to learn about other ways you can get involved with BANC. Please forward this email to any Booth alums that you think might be interested.

Thank you,

Robin Simon, ‘89
