An extra edition of the ICC Newsletter March. The previous one can be found HERE
First of all we ask your prayer for John Albers, his family, friends and beloved ones.
Furthermore we ask you to continue your praying for the situation in Ukraine, and to continue to take each other into account and to adhere to the general hygiene advices that prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Then, besides the general Masses and celebrations in March (information can be found HERE), there will be a special Mass to celebrate the Feast of Saint Joseph, and a special Mass to celebrate the Annunciation of the Lord, both in Renkum.
Tomorrow there will be an international Mass as usual. Furthermore, there will an international program with the Indian Father Vadakkel in Renkum (onset 15:00 PM).
Finally: the date on which Titus Brandsma will canonized is known!
Have a beautiful week and a continuation of your preparation for Easter as desired! ICC

John Albers
Grateful to have known him
On Friday, March 4, John Albers passed away
Perhaps you have never met him; John was a member of the church council of our location Wageningen and chief sacristan for many years.
In the background John has played an important role for our international community.
His enthusiastic, jovial, warm, involved, sincere personality will be missed enormously.
Last Friday many said goodbye to John in a beautiful Holy Mass.
Would you please include John, his family and loved ones in your prayers?

Lent: Virtual way of the Cross
Two years ago at the beginning of the coronacrisis we made a recording of Father Henri praying the Way of the Cross in the St Bernulphus church in Oosterbeek. If you want to pray the way of the Cross at home, this may be of help.
The stations of this Way of the Cross are painted by the famous Dutch painter Jan Toorop
Request for volunteers
Preparing / serving / cleaning
We are allowed to drink coffee/tea again after mass !
But before we can drink coffee/tea, it has to be prepared and served.
And afterwards the dishes have to be done, and things have to be cleaned.
So... we need volunteers !
Baking
Before corona, it was tradition that some ICC members (if they felt like it) brought (home made) cookies or cakes with them for coffee/tea.
If you feel like it, don't hesitate to continue this tradition ;o)
Finally !
Finally!
The date of the canonization of the patron of our parish, blessed Titus Brandsma is known !
On May 15, "World War II martyr Titus Brandsma" will be declared saint, together with two other blessed.
Don't know if from then our parish will be called the Saint Titus Brandsma Parish ?
Perhaps this even means that logo, names of internetsites and addresses have to be changed ?
Well, these are all possible practical consequences of something beautiful.
