Worship With Us

This week's message - Lord’s Prayer: When Life Feels Out of Control

According to national surveys, most of us pray at least sometimes. But if we’re honest, many of us aren’t exactly sure we’re doing it ‘right.’ We sense that there must be more to prayer than just asking God for stuff, but we’re not sure where to begin. So how *should* we pray? In our sermon series on The Lord’s Prayer, we’re exploring how Jesus answered that question and the difference it makes when we learn to pray like Jesus. Today we’re talking about what to pray when life feels out of control.

Join us for in-person worship today at 10 am in the AMC Classic Durham, or watch online worship by following the link below. Take Kindred on the go by downloading the Sermon Podcast on Apple or Spotify. However you choose to join in, we are glad to be worshiping together with you!

Safety Update: While mask mandates are now being lifted in many local contexts, we will continue to remain masked during Kindred worship for the time being. We are monitoring local covid conditions in consultation with local health officials and will share future updates to our mask policy when we have them. For now, if you worship with us in person, please remain masked while indoors (small children exempt, of course). Thanks for your cooperation and patience.

Communion is Back

Today at in-person worship we’re resuming our celebration of Communion. All are welcome at the table!

The sacrament of Communion is an important way that Jesus meets us, nourishes us with his presence, and renews the bond we share with one another. We’re glad that after a temporary suspension of Communion (due to an abundance of covid caution) we are now able to resume this weekly celebration during worship. We’ll still have plenty of covid precautions in place to minimize transmission risk, but we will safely share the sacrament together. You won’t have to participate if you’re uncomfortable, of course. But ALL are welcome at our Communion table, so we hope you’ll join us. “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” -Psalm 34:8

Kindred 101 Next Sunday

New to Kindred and want to learn more? Join us after in-person worship on March 27th, 11:15am-12:15pm.

If you’re new or new-ish to Kindred, you’re invited to stick around for a casual,1-hour gathering called ‘Kindred 101’ right after in-person worship on Sunday, Feb. 27th. At ‘Kindred 101’ you’ll get to meet the pastor and staff, hear about Kindred’s mission and values, get practical suggestions for ways you can get involved, and ask questions.

If you’ve visited Kindred in-person or online, this is the perfect next step that will help you consider how your faith journey and Kindred’s mission might align. No registration is required. Free childcare is provided.

We’ll meet in a room adjacent to our worship space at AMC. We hope to see you there! If you have questions about this event, please reach out to Kandis, kflorian@kindrednc.church.
