Future Turtles Newsletter #6

Hey <<First Name>>!

Coming to Reno?

We still have a couple of rooms left in the AirBnB in Reno. If you are coming to Reno for the work weekends and want to stay with the group, please let me know right away… they will go fast!

The first Reno work weekends are April 23th and April 30th (and in fact if you can come any time that week it would be great too!)

Are you on Discord?

The discord server is starting to wake up with teams getting organized. That is a good way to stay in touch!

OK, now let’s talk TICKETS

The Main Sale is coming up! Even if you already have tickets for Burning Man, or if you aren’t coming this year, we need you to help us score tickets in the Main Sale which ends up being a lottery for all intents and purposes.

  • If you already bought FOMO or Stewards tickets, you can’t buy tickets in the Main Sale. (You need a different burner profile, and a credit card with a different name and number. Ask your friends!).

Registration

  • You must register for the Main Sale in advance. Registration is done through your Burner Profile.

  • Registration OPENS March 23, 2022 at 12:00 noon PDT

  • Registration CLOSES March 25, 2022 at 12:00 noon PDT

Main Sale

  • The main sale happens March 30, 2022 at 12:00 noon PDT

  • It is over in a matter of minutes

  • ALWAYS BUY TWO TICKETS even if you only need one!

Getting Ready for the Main Sale

  • Have your card ready: MasterCard or Visa only.

  • Make sure your internet is working well.

  • Make sure you already have your link open to the ticket purchasing page which you can find in your Burner Profile. This will sell out very fast, and there are only 10,000 tickets in the Main Sale.

  • Make sure you have room on a debit or credit card - about $1350 for two tickets without vehicle passes. (Note: we don’t have room for private cars parking in our camp, so don’t bring a vehicle unless you really have to. Most turtles take the bus).

Some tips

  • If you live in the US and have very reliable UPS package delivery where you live, go ahead and select that option for your tickets.

  • If you live outside the US or don’t want to worry about how your tickets get to you, feel free to choose the Will Call option. They will hold your tickets at the box office. This is the safest option for everyone.

  • If you end up with tickets that you don’t need, we’ll find someone in camp who does need them to buy them from you. If this happens there will be an online ticket transfer tool to transfer the tickets to them.

We will have a Zoom Room open to talk strategy starting at 11:45am, which is when you should start getting ready.

Ok, that’s it for now!

Have a great week!
