2022 Week 12| Church Weekly News Mar 19 - Mar 26

Congratulations Fr. Zosima!

Feast of the Cross

For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God”.  (1 Corinthians 1:18)

Our Coptic Church celebrates the feast of the cross twice a year:

  • Baramhat 10 / March 19: Feast of the day when St. Helen found the Holy Cross.
  • Tut 17 / September 27: Feast of the consecration of the Resurrection Church in Jerusalem

The Church IT Team worked very hard during the past few weeks to implement state of the art Livestream system to be able to professionally steam the ordination Liturgy and through the grace of our Lord the mission was accomplished.

This system allows us to see the entire church from several angels, the altar and even the baptism room. We will continue to stream on the
Church Website through the church YouTube Channel and we will also add streaming to the church Facebook group.

To set expectations, we have a way to go to train the team on utilizing the system, you will see the quality of the stream up and down in the coming weeks and until the team is trained and gain some experience in using the system, thank you in advance for your patience as we learn the system.

For the father does not receive him as a hired servant, neither does he look upon him as a stranger. But he kisses him as a son, he brings him back to life as from the dead, counts him worthy of the divine feast, and gives him his former and precious robe. So that, on this account, there is singing and gladness in the paternal home. [Read More]
