We recently prepared the video update below for our home church, New Life in Christ Church, as they celebrated their March “Missions Month” and thought it was a good overview of how things are going these days for us, so we also wanted to share it with all of you.
It’s not discussed in the video, but we are also excited to share that the wedding dress project put on hold two years ago because of Covid is now back on track! The home for young women who have aged out of orphanages, Luz de Vida, received generous donations of dresses from many of you, and now we have been able to resume preparations for opening their wedding dress rental business. They have decided to name it “Divina Novia Boutique” and some of the girls are working on designing a logo. They are excited to have a small business that will help support the home, employ some of the girls, and offer an economical option to young women in our community who want to get married, but struggle to afford the high cost of a wedding.
