Principal's Message

Dear McGaugh Families,

Tomorrow, we'll take another huge step forward toward a post-pandemic era as a community. As Dr. Pulver stated in an email address to all Los Al families,  face coverings are no longer required indoors for staff, students, and visitors on school campuses, buses, and at school events, as of Saturday, March 12, 2022. Masking is a choice for all individuals, regardless of vaccination status. Our teachers have done a fantastic job facilitating discussions with students about the shift they will see on campus tomorrow. They emphasized that the new guidance may come with mixed feelings from members of our school community. Some Sea Lions and their families welcome the shift, while others may not. Despite our students' and families' choices, we support each other with kindness, respect, empathy, and understanding.

I look forward to seeing you all on campus whether you are wearing a mask or not wearing a mask!

 Jester Program

This is the number of Jester birthday visits we have scheduled this year which means 50 new books that have been donated to the media center in honor of our McGaugh students. This means over $1200 that has been raised for PTA programs that support our school in addition to the 50 new books in the media center.

So can we hit 100 new books and Jester visits before the end of the year? Who is up to this challenge?

Schedule a Jester visit in your child's classroom to commemorate their birthday with a special book reading in their classroom and a special gift from one of our amazing Jesters. Fill out this form and turn it in with a check to the office. This book stays in the library forever and will always have their special dedication from you right on the inside cover!
