On this Monday in the middle of March, I’m doing my Monday thing, sitting in my daughter’s kitchen and watching the horizon paint the new day. I hope you have a place to say, “Good Morning, God!”. I truly do, and to sing out loud or to yourself, “This the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice…”
“Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul!”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭146:1‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Keeping with the idea of 3 Things, I’m sharing a blogpost about women from the Bible and how their strengths and struggles can inspire us, how their redemption story can make us strong. This month, it’s an Old and New Testament story, it’s a comparison of Hagar and Martha.

You can read here: http://quietconfidence-artandword.blog/2022/03/14/redemption-stories/

Now, for art things. I’m so happy to be painting crosses again. Little crosses with subtle color and a touch of gold that come with a gold easel to rest on your shelf or table…to remind you of rest in your salvation. God has been opening doors for me! I find myself thinking I’m incapable and then I’m reminded of the word I chose for this year, “willing”. If we are willing, God is able. I hope you’ll do something that you feel afraid of, something you’re afraid you might fail at or something your shy self tells you to stay hidden from.

I’m excited to share that four pieces in a series I call “Wisdom” were selected for the Spring Emerging Artist Show through The Scouted Studio in Charleston. The show is virtual and will be live April 1st. As with most of the art news, the best way to see new art or news is through my Instagram (lisa_anneart). Now, for prayers.

I’m still praying the bold prayer for a space to create and display my art, a space people can pop in and visit, maybe pray or just say “Hey!”.

I am praying for a sense of God’s nearness. This is not a new prayer, rather one that’s blown me away lately. Pray the same prayer and be fascinated by things like spotting stars, seeing a cross in an unexpected place or sensing God’s peace when you were afraid you’d be afraid.

Third, I’m praying that God’s power and love would be so abundant a rescue for those who need healing that those rescues can’t be credited to anyone or anything else. I pray God reminds of us great mercy, grace and love to every soul in this desperate world.

Thank you for opening and reading, I know emails are coming from most everywhere. You reading mine encourages me to continue.

You are loved.
