Buckle up, there's a lotta books in here

I expect the weather the lately has given us all Spring fever - even though we know in our hearts there's at least one more big snow coming.   Before mud and allergy season begins, there's still time to get some reading in and, boy, have we got piles of stuff for you to choose from.  I'll stop now and let you get to it.
Maybe you've noticed something a little different around SB lately, and that may be that we're all missing Jen. We're happy to say that she's back on the air, helping people start their day as only she can, with her trademark cheer, snark and humor.  The crappy thing is that she is doing in Madison, Wisconsin.

Jen was one of my first hires when I took over the store, and she's been my cheerleader and friend for all these years, something she's still doing long distance. There's a Jen-shaped hole at SB, but I expect we'll be getting regular dispatches from Packerland (as a Lion's fan, she's not going to be happy I said that).     She is dearly missed.  ~ Dana

If you'd like to listen in, her new show is 6-10 a.m. CST on Q106, available here.   (Or say hi on FB #jenniferstephens)
An inspiring and urgent memoir by the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine—a pioneering diplomat who spent her career advancing democracy in the post-Soviet world.

“A brilliant, engaging, and inspiring memoir from one of America’s wisest and most courageous diplomats—essential reading for current policymakers, aspiring public servants, and anyone who cares about America’s role in the world.”—Madeleine K. Albright

The Ogress and the Orphans

“The reader is immediately tossed into this fantasy …The Mayor is a fantastic (though loathsome) villain, oozing charisma and evil in equal measures …It is fortunate that her tinkering with fairy tales and fables helped open a path to this novel that champions kindness in a very dark world.”

Glory

“Manifoldly clever…brilliant…This is not ‘Animal Farm.’ Not its remix, nor its translation. ‘Glory’ is its own vivid world, drawn from its own folklore. This is a satire with sharper teeth, angrier, and also very, very funny.” —The New York Times Book Review
