I hit the ground running this month and haven’t stopped! I do not think I will be stopping for some time; these newsletters may get fewer and further-between as 2022 progresses. But I shall do my best to keep you updated with the more exciting happenings.

Book News!!

Speaking of exciting, I have happy news: a book I illustrated, The Women Doctors of the Church by Colleen Pressprich, is now available for pre-order! I must say, I think this is the loveliest book I’ve work on yet, and I can’t wait for its release next month. It is not up on the OSV website yet, but you can pre-order it from Amazon right now.
 

Here I go Again…

Lent for me means the usual prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, but additionally, Paschal Candle painting. Since 2015 (with one break, I think) I’ve painted my parish’s Paschal Candle, and some years, several parish candles. Being a mother of a two-year old, I am only doing the one this year, but I already have some fun ideas for it.   Here are a few that I have done previously:

I’ve had requests for help in the past, so last year I came up with some step-by step instructions.  I have both a Beginner’s Set (a fun family coloring project!), and a more Advanced Set that tells you all of my tricks.
