With just over a month of officially moving into our new home, I think we can all agree that the MacBain Community Centre is a bright and beautiful space for our programming needs. Thank you for your patience as we navigate through changes and the implementation of new protocols.

April brings us lots of fun and excitement with new programs including the long awaited return of Aqua Fit, and a new Therapeutic Aqua class. We are moving our fitness equipment to MacBain and we now have split the TRX classes into beginner and intermediate levels. The future is bright at MacBain and we are so glad you have joined us.

Aqua Fit Classes

We know a lot of our members have been waiting patiently for our aqua classes to resume. The pools have undergone some well needed care and attention and we are ready to dive straight in with our aquatic programming (sorry, couldn't help myself). The pools are due to open on Monday April 4 with aqua classes starting the same week. Tammy, our aqua fit instructor is excited to resume teaching and has also added a Therapeutic class to her repertoire.

Registration opens on Monday March 28 at 9:00am. 

If you are a Coronation member, you will have an account already created. If you have forgotten your password, please do not create another account. Simply enter your email address and click on 'Forgot Password'.

We will also be offering lane swims and open swims to the public as well as swimming lessons and Parent and Tot classes. There will also be aqua classes in the evenings open to the public as well as coronation members. Please check our website for further information.
Deep Water
Experience the benefits of exercise while in the deep end of the pool! This class will give you a dynamic total body workout without any impact. Aqua Belts are available.

Therapeutic Aqua
Our warm water pool provides a relaxing and soothing environment for aching joints and muscles. Focus will be on strengthening, stretching, balance and increasing range of motion for the hips, knees and back. Perfect class for individuals living with arthritis, osteoporosis, or fibromyalgia. Also recommended for pre and post operative care. Water shoes are recommended.

AT THIS TIME WE ARE ASKING THAT YOU ONLY REGISTER FOR ONE CLASS PER WEEK.

Regular Aqua 
A low-impact, total body workout in the shallow end of the pool designed to increase the heart rate. Great workout for abdominals, buttocks and thighs. Perfect class to get you back in-shape!

A slow-paced and passive practice that uses yoga props to encourage the body to relax, and helps to soothe the nervous system. This class complements an active lifestyle and acts as a deep source of healing for anyone looking to relieve stress.
Please have ready some pillows and a blanket.

Join Cheryl from the comfort of your home as she will broadcast live from her class at MacBain. The $2.50 class fee will apply. The link will be the same every week for each different class. Please note the new set of links for April and May. Also, a friendly reminder to pleae pay off your balance on your account through Activenet, or in person at the customer service desk at MacBain


How do I register?

Below you will find the links to the fitness classes held via Zoom. Click on a link below to open the Zoom registration form for that particular class. Enter your name and email address then click Register. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to the Zoom "meeting" as well as the meeting ID and passcode.

** You will be registering for the day of classes until the end of the two month session. You do not need to attend every class. A new link will be available for June-July at the end of May. Members will need to pay their balance before the April/May classes start.


How do I pay?

Once you have registered on Zoom, your membership account will be charged. You may pay the outstanding balance in person or you may pay online with your Active Net account. (It may take a few days for Active Net to show your outstanding balance.)

Exercise Equipment Room

Our treadmills, bikes, ellipticals rowing machine and other equipment will be moving over to MacBain shortly. All the equipment will be housed on the first floor next to the walking track in the studio.  We hope to have the room up and running by Monday March 28. $1.25 per visit applies.

Volunteer Greeters Needed

Volunteer Greeters needed. Help sign
We are looking for volunteers who can help out with greeting our members at MacBain. Come and join the fun and frolics as we embark on this new adventure together. Duties include, welcoming Coronation members, directing members to program rooms as well as the payment desk, and answering general answering enquiries

The shifts are approximately three hours per week (morning or afternoon) on the same day each week. Greeters will be sat at a desk with not much, if any walking involved. We are trying to team up two greeters on any given shift. Training will be provided.

Please email the Centre if you are interested in volunteering.

We are needing the following shifts filled:

Monday Morning 8:30am - 12:00pm
Monday Afternoon 12:00pm - 2:30pm
Thursday Afternoon 12:00pm - 2:30pm
