 Dear Faith Family,

We have been hearing sermons from Philippians that have convicted me.  Is Christ currently the greatest treasure in my life?  The Holy Spirit continues to convict me of areas I might be treasuring more than Christ.

One of the questions we should always ask is “Do I keep going, God, or do You have another plan for my life?”  Too often we toss up general prayers when the answer we need isn’t general at all.  We need a precise answer, but we do not bother to pause what we are doing and ask a specific prayer.

As I thought about this, I thought about the Tate family that asked that very question.  Their answer was to serve in a foreign country even though they were very happy here.

One reason we don’t see more of God is He doesn’t get invited in on the front end.  God wants us to inquire of Him before we open our mouth to say anything to anyone else. God does not want to be on the tail end of our lives.  He is God, after all.  He deserves to be first.   I love the equation that Bro. Chris gave us on Sunday – JESUS PLUS NOTHING EQUALS EVERYTHING!

Please join me as we continue to pray for Ukraine and our world leaders, that they will seek God and His will and that He will protect those in harm’s way.  May we continue to spread JOY because JOY comes from Our Lord!

See you Sunday!

How can you help in the Ukraine crisis?

After 8 years of ongoing conflict, Russia has launched a wide-ranging attack on Ukraine, rolling in tanks and troops into their neighbors to the West. The invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces continues to intensify.  It is possible that this conflict could cause nearly 5 million people to be displaced.  But, how can we help?

Send Relief, a cooperative ministry between the International Mission Board and the North American Mission Board, is working with local Baptist partners and churches in Ukraine, Poland, and other border nations to respond to the crisis.  They are helping with food, shelter, transportation, and hygiene needs.

You can help! There is extraordinary power in prayer.  Click here to access a prayer guide.

You can also give financially through the Send Relief Fund.  Click here to go to the Send Relief website.

Search Team Process

This Sunday, March 20, will be the final opportunity to express interest in serving on our Worship Pastor Search Team.  The Search Team will be comprised of three members from our Worship Ministry Team, two members from our Personnel Team, and two church members who are selected by the church at large.

We will use a two part process to decide the two representatives from our congregation who will serve on the team.  Part One is to allow any church member interested in serving on the team to let us know by Monday, March 21.  We will take the complete list of names and allow the church to vote on Sunday, March 27.  Based on the results, 2 church members will serve on the 7 member search team.

If you would like to be considered to serve on the search team, you may indicate that by click here.  Or, you may also express interest by using the form provided in Sunday school classes.

I'M INTERESTED!
