March 2022 Newsletter

NOMV Texas

NOMV Texas, led by locals Danielle Grimley, Dr. Mallory Preston, and Dr. Charlotte Weir, successfully launched the first Ambassadors chapter in the United States by hosting a virtual webinar geared specifically towards veterinary professionals. The live event was a huge success and provided evidence-based tools, mental wellness resources, and structured support to viewers across the state. Dr. Preston started the meeting off by leading a 5-minute guided meditation demonstrating a deep-breathing exercise simple enough for even the busiest professional. Licensed veterinary clinical social worker, Sandra Brackenridge, gave us her refreshing take on QPR and suicide prevention training through the complex lens of veterinary medicine. Danielle Grimley and Dr. Charlotte Weir effortlessly fielded audience questions and provided resources throughout the live event.

NOMV Texas would like to thank everyone who attended and everyone who supported the event from afar. If you are a veterinarian, veterinary nurse or assistant, practice manager, in-clinic groomer, or an industry professional residing in Texas, stay tuned for more information on our second webinar occurring in April 2022 by following NOMV Texas on Facebook.
