Hot Fix Release Announcement

Hexagon PPM support has posted PV Elite 24 Hot Fix 1 for PV Elite Version 24 (24.00.00.0292). This Hot Fix is now available for download on Hexagon PPM's Customer Response System. Further information about what is contained in this Hot Fix is available in the Readme File link shown in the download description on the Service Packs and Fixes page.

Pumps as Turbines: The Pump that Produces Electricity

Pump As Turbine (or PAT) which is a pump that can be used as a turbine to produce electricity. The PAT takes advantage of the fact that a motor can be used as a Generator if you reverse the process. This webinar will discuss using PAT, Turbine and Power Curves, Decoupling Speeds, No Load Curves as well as demonstrate how to model PAT in AFT Fathom (with XTS) and AFT Impulse.

Changes that affect results

Fixed an issue that prevented Submerged Pump modeled junctions from being exported to EPANET.
Added the capability to copy Warnings and Design Alerts from the Output Primary Window.
Added junction name to the Design Alert report in the Output.
Fixed a bug where using Undo or Redo on deleted/disconnected pipes could cause nearby junctions to lose values for pipe elevation, r/D, and entry/exit K-factors to default to 0 instead of their original value.
Fixed a problem with Sprays using Resistance curves and a density correction.
Fixed a problem using Pressure Drop Friction as a Goal in GSC where 0 would always be returned and no solution could be found.
