Take a quick break and read a few short and engaging climate adaptation articles following on from the recent release of the Working Group II contribution to the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report. 

We’ve featured five articles to give you an adaptation taster covering: SEI's response to the latest IPCC report (including some of the weADAPT team); a module on gender equality in knowledge brokering; how sustainable soil management can improve food security; and, an evaluation of the Future Climate for Africa programme, which has brought together more than 200 researchers from over 20 countries over 6 years, to improve understanding of climate variability and change across Africa.

Conference: Dealing with Drought: Water Scarcity, Human (Im)mobility and Adaptation Strategies in Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East
Augsburg University has a call for papers. The conference seeks interdisciplinary contributions from the social and environmental sciences to exchange ideas on environmental (im)mobility in the context of water crises, and issues in the realm of water management and political ecology.
 


Request for Proposals: Wildlife Conservation Society's Climate Adaptation Fund 
The Wildlife Conservation Society's Climate Adaptation Fund has released its request for proposals for the 2022 grant cycle. Their program supports projects that advance learning and scale effective climate adaptation interventions to help wildlife, ecosystems, and people. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 8, 2022. The Fund will provide up to $2.5 million in competitive grants in 2022.
