WARNING - Services of the Ministry of the Interior offices limited only to urgent residence agenda
In view of the recent emergency situation, the operation and services of the OAMP MV offices are limited only to urgent agenda requiring personal attendance (i.e. applications of children born in the territory, first applications for residence permits, changes of the residence purposes). Other agenda (i.e. extention of visa/residence permit, reporting changes, submission of additional documents) should be dealt with and sent by registered mail.
This limitation also applies to the information phone line. Reservation services through the aforementioned phone line are currently suspended, thus it is not possible to make any reservations via phone at the moment. For now, applications that require personal attendance can be submitted later and this later submission will be perceived as an obstacle independent of the control of the respective applicant.
This limitation does not apply to Ukrainian citizens who are applying for special visa regarding the conflict in Ukraine.

Kindergartens and School Education
If you are coming to Czech Republic from Ukraine with your child, he or she must start attending the compulsory school education within 3 months from the moment of your arrival. Depending on your child’s age you can either sign them in for the kindergarten anywhere in Ostrava, or the whole region....read more.

CORONAVIRUS IN CZECHIA:
From 18th March 2022 it is obligatory to wear a mask only while using the public transport and when visiting medical or social institutions and facilities. People with health insurance are entitled to undergo one voluntary PCR test per month for free, any extra PCR test will have to be paid for by the individual. When returning from abroad, you are required to fill in an after arrival form. You must also show your valid covid vaccination or a negative PCR/antigen test.
