NPS parks close by include Saguaro NP (East and West units); Tumacacori NM; Organ Pipe Cactus NM; Coronado NM; Chiricahua NM; and Casa Grande NM. The Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum is a major attraction, and the Western Archeological and Conservation Center is in Tucson, along with the headquarters of the Western National Parks Association.

  • Let us know if you have suggestions (contact information) for anyone or any company that might want to exhibit at the Rendezvous.
  • Let us know if you have a specific idea or person you'd like to see added to the Rendezvous program.
  • Consider donating an item for the Rendezvous (on-site) raffle or auction.

Be a Presenter at Ranger Rendezvous 45!
Call for presentations and posters

The Association of National Park Rangers (ANPR) is looking for dynamic speakers to share their research on nature, history, and science in national parks. Do you have research you would like to share or a new program that you are really excited about? We would love to hear from you!

ANPR will give preference to presentations and posters that address:
  • National park law and policy
  • Climate change in parks
  • Biological, geological, or physical research
  • Visitor services and interpretation
  • Historical or cultural research
  • Recreation and tourism management
  • Emergency medical services or search and rescue
What kinds of presentations or posters will ANPR accept?
ANPR will accept proposals for 50-minute sessions and posters. 50-minute sessions can be individual or panel presentations and presenters are encouraged to allow at least 15 minutes for questions. Poster presenters will participate in a session during the President’s Reception on the evening of Thursday, October 15. Learn more by filling out our application.

If you have questions, please contact Shannon Wilson at swilson@anpr.org.

Attention Authors:
If you have authored a book relevant to an NPS audience, think about joining us at the Rendezvous as a member of a panel of authors and an opportunity to autograph and sell your books. Contact Bill Wade at bwade@anpr.org for details.

Interested in a FREE (all onboard expenses paid) seven-day cruise to the Alaska Inland Passage for you and one guest this summer?

There are still a number of cruises that are open for you if you are interested. Please contact Bill Wade at bwade@anpr.org for additional information.
Upcoming - Watch for:
  1. ANPR's annual spring fundraising campaign will open on April 1 and run through the end of May. Priorities for donations this year are for the Rick Smith International Fund and for training (ways that ANPR can help with  NPS employee training needs).
  2. Our second annual super raffle will open June 1 and run until the drawing at the Ranger Rendezvous on October 29. If you have a product or service that you'd like to make available as a prize for the super raffle, please contact Bill Wade at bwade@anpr.org.
