Have you missed us? We may have gone silent over winter but we've been hard at work on plans and projects we'll be sharing soon.
But before we let another minute pass, we wanted to let you know about our new Climate Champion awards program.
We want to recognize individuals, organizations and businesses in Maple Ridge that are leading the way in the fight against climate change. Nominations are open in a variety of categories, including: builder/developer/architect; homeowner/renter; innovator; transportation; business; education; organizing; activism; youth; senior. And if someone you know doesn't quite fit any of these categories, feel free to suggest one!
The awards will be presented during Earth Day celebrations on April 23.
Nominations are open until March 18. Simply fill in the NOMINATION FORM on the Climate Hub website.
We all need a bit of inspiration from time to time. And we all know people, organizations and businesses who are setting an example for the rest of us.
So please take a few minutes to nominate your personal climate hero(s) by March 18, and join in on the fun on Earth Day when we celebrate the Climate Champions in our community.
