The Philippines has opened for tourism
Finally – what we have all been waiting for the past two years has happened and we are beyond excited. On February 10, the Philippines opened for international tourism without quarantine and we already welcomed our first visitors from abroad. As Atmosphere has been open through the pandemic, we are more than ready to serve you with our exceptional service as always – and you’ll even find a few exciting additions, improvements and changes since you were last at the resort.
We are happy to take international bookings with generous cancellation options and “Welcome back” incentives if you book soon.
For bookings - or questions about an existing booking that you would like to amend, please
contact us.
Stay safe – we look forward to seeing you soon.
The Atmosphere team is gathered
It is quite the feat to get so many of the Atmosphere core team members in one photo. During a meeting recently, we realized that “it is now or never”, and had a picture taken in front of the lap pool, Breeze restaurant and those iconic palm trees. You are missing out on all the giggles in what appears to be a rather serious photo, and we are a couple of years older than the last time many of you saw us, but we are going strong!
Awards
Atmosphere crowned Best Dive Centre in the Philippines
Where is the best dive center in the Philippines? At Atmosphere of course!
We were very excited in December, when British magazine “Dive” crowned Atmosphere the winner as best dive center in the Philippines in a fierce competition with other great dive operators around the country. We have had a tough two years, but we have kept our heads up high and remained open through the pandemic. We can’t wait to see even more international divers in our dive centre. Huge thank you for all guests who voted! And to
Dive Magazine for making it happen.

Become a dive instructor with Instructor Development Philippines

Escape the negativity of the last two years and start following your dreams! In three weeks time, on March 26, you could be in tropical Philippines, learning how to become a PADI Scuba Instructor. Now is your time to take the giant stride, and become an instructor at with Instructor Development Philippines
Send an email to info@instructordevelopmentphilippines.com or to dive@atmosphereresorts.com for more information regarding our IDC packages. Whether you chose to stay with us at Atmosphere or nearby – either way, our IDC’s will allow you to experience teaching at two different dive operations.

Frogfish season - and Dr. Frogfish - are back at Atmosphere!

Frogfish February has always been a thing in Dauin, but as such it passed rather quietly the past two years with a very limited number of divers in-house. This year, frogfish season coincides with the opening of the Philippines for tourism, and we are happy to say that they are as large in numbers as ever! Scattered along the slopes of Dauin and Zamboanguita – on the sand, in sponges, on top of coral heads, we are seeing giant frogfish, warty frogfish, painted frogfish and so many more.
And as the icing on the cake, Daniel Geary
@drfrogfish is back teaching his hugely popular PADI Distinctive Frogfish Specialist course.
Contact us if you are interested in the best frogfish course on the planet, in the best frogfish location!

F&B update
Homemade ice cream to tempt our sweet guests

When you have a kitchen team and facilities like Atmosphere, and you’re placed by the beach in the tropics – homemade ice cream is the only way to go! Beginning February, we were finally happy with the outcome of our ice cream experiments and we have now added a number of delicious ice creams to the menu.
We carry the popular chocolate, vanilla and pistachio of course, but don’t be afraid to try some Filipino favorites like pandan, ube and caramel!

As if scoops of ice cream were not enough – the ice cream sandwich is a must. A sandwich – made from ice cream – that can only be amazing!

Stay longer at Atmosphere

Whether you wish to escape the city life for an extended period of time, take an extended holiday, or experience life in Negros Oriental, a long term stay might be just what you need. At Atmosphere this is available in two of our room types: Penthouses and Garden Apartments.
Our long stays run from a minimum of one month, to a maximum of two months, and are suitable for the single occupant, a couple or up to 5 people, depending on room type. As an Atmosphere long term stay guest, you have access to the same amenities as our short term staying guests: Resort facilities, three swimming pools, beach, restaurants, parking, bar, dive center, spa, warrior gym etc.
For pricing, availability and details, please contact our
Reservations or Anne Munoz, who handles domestic sales.

We are vaccinated!

With vaccines now widely available in the Philippines, Atmosphere is happy to announce that all our in-house staff are vaccinated against Covid-19. It has been a bumpy road getting there. Vaccines have previously not been accessible everywhere or in enough quantities, other than for the elderly and people with medical conditions. With vaccines now more available, our staff have taken the responsible step to get vaccinated. Bring on the tourism!
It's not too late to get the ONE card
Do you live locally in Negros Oriental and enjoy visiting Atmosphere? Then the ONE card is definitely for you. The ONE card was created as a “thank you” for residents in our beautiful province, for helping us sustain Atmosphere during the pandemic. The card gives up to 50% discount on accommodation until the end of 2022, and it also has benefits for day guests.
Did we mention the monthly raffle? Each month we raffle out great prizes among the card holders, from overnight stays, to signature massages, scuba dives or romantic private dinners.
The ONE card costs 1000 pesos as a one-time cost, can be bought on arrival, is valid until the end of 2022 and is available for residents of Negros Oriental.
Dive liveaboards
Join us in Tubbataha in May!
Before Covid struck, Atmosphere used to run yearly live-aboard trips to some of the most amazing dive spots in Asia, outside of our own reefs of course. Many of those trips were cancelled the past two years, to the huge dismay of us and the guests who had booked the liveaboard trip of a lifetime.
We are now pleased to announce, that the 2022 liveaboard trip onboard the Philippine Siren to Tubbataha, is scheduled to go ahead on May 18-24!
The reefs of Tubbataha are untouched and remote at the best of times, and after a 2 year hiatus, we expect some absolutely mind blowing diving onboard one of the most luxurious liveaboards in the Philippines – the Philippine Siren of the
Master Liveaboard fleet.
