International Transgender Day of Visibility
International Transgender Day of Visibility was started in 2009. I was frustrated because the only transgender day of the year was the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, which is to recognize our brothers and sisters who were killed just because they were trans. I wanted a day where we could celebrate who we are. So I created the International Transgender Day of Visibility. Since 2009 it has grown all over the world, including countries where being transgender is against the law. This holiday includes people who are gender fluid and gender non-conforming. This holiday is growing every single year.
