Taking the gospel to every community, meeting their material needs and equipping Ukrainians for a brighter future.

God is moving in Ukraine

Last week, on March 3rd, with war raging, our friends in New Life Church baptised 11 people.  On Sunday 6th March, Pastor Sasha knelled with his nephew as he repented and turned to Jesus. We praise God for those who continue to share the gospel in these times, and for all those who are giving their lives to Jesus.
Pastor Dima continues to travel around the Zolotonosha region, collecting people and finding them somewhere to stay, buying food, medical supplies and other essentials for all who need it.  His wife Natasha and their two young sons, Illya and Tima, have moved to a city further west to be with famliy there where it is safer.
In the village of Denghi the team have been preparing food parcels for those in the village who need help.  They have also this week housed a family of four from Kharkiv whom they are caring for.
The church in Blagodatne sing "better is one day in your house than thousands elsewhere."

Prayer points:

  • For Vitaliy S, Artem and the team at Camp MAXIMUM as they co-ordinate a huge effort to provide transport out of conflict zones as well as gathering humanitarian aid for those in need.
  • For Vitaliy A. who is travelling from Cherkasy to Kharkiv to deliver aid and retrieve those who need transport to refuge.
  • For Pastor Dima who spends a lot of time travelling around the region buying food and other supplies for those who need it.
  • For the many families who are now scattered apart from their loved ones as they have had to leave fathers, husbands and brothers behind.  We think especially of Natasha and the boys, and Anya and her children.

Send a message to Ukraine

Through this awful time we have been reminded, as I am sure many of you have, of the importance of staying in touch.  Praise God that we have the technology today that allows us to do this even when we cannot meet face to face.  It would be a huge blessing to our friends in Ukraine if you could send a short video to encourage them and assure them of your prayers.  Send it to info@ucm.org.uk or reply to this e-mail, and we will translate it all into Ukrainian for them.
