Kim Deans Farm Planning Workshop
24th & 25th February 2022

It was wonderful to get back to face to face workshops in February for this inspiring workshop.  Kim led the group step by step through the process of Farm planning, ensuring that they took into account all factors, resulting in a holistic plan.  Kim says ä holistic approach helps us to focus on the whole picture an not just a single element".
The workshop was very well received, with participants also very much enjoying an informal dinner to discuss their ideas and plans on the Thursday night.

Roving Trapper Workshop Series begins

The first two workshops in the Roving Trapper Workshop series were held recently in Gulf Creek and Gravesend.  Participants enjoyed a highly informative day learning about the biology and ecology of wild dogs and deer.  Mark Lamb from Pest Lures then demonstrated tracking tips.  The day was aimed at upskilling participants to increase the success of their control programs.  Mark also stressed the threat to both the natural environment and to agriculture posed by these invasive species.  If you missed out, the third and final workshop in the series is scheduled for May 10 in Delungra  for further details click HERE.

Flood Appeal
During the recent severe drought, residents of Bangalow and Mullumbimby banded together to support the residents of Bingara, donating massive amounts of non-perishable foods, gift cards, and a multitude of household items.  Their support throughout this time made a huge difference to landholders going through a very tough time.  Now it is our turn to return the gesture and to support Bangalow and Mullumbimby in their time of need.  Both of these regions have been hard hit in the recent floods.  100% of funds donated will go directly to those residents in need.
