The Diocese in Europe and USPG have launched a joint emergency appeal to support humanitarian work both in Ukraine and with refugees fleeing into neighbouring countries.

Vigil with Prayers for Peace in Ukraine

This simple 30-minute service will include prayers, music, readings and a reflection or some information from a part of the Diocese directly affected by the crisis.

All are welcome to join. Do let people know. The link will be the same each week.

Escaping Ukraine

"We bought a generator, - important for us as we live outside the city and our water supply is a well with water pumped up by an electric pump, - and slowly stocked up with food and fuel."

Community Kitchen Helping Refugees in Brussels

Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees who have fled the war are now travelling further West across Europe. This week, hundreds are queuing outside a Reception Centre at Porte de Hal in Brussels. The queue which includes many children, moves very slowly.

Bishop's Lent and Easter Appeal: Aid to Ukraine

 
"These people are our Brothers and Sisters" said Bishop Robert, who has launched his Lent and Easter Appeal to support our efforts with USPG.

The appeal will help to get aid to people in Ukraine and those who have fled from the war both now and in the longer term.

Archbishop of Canterbury supports Emergency Appeal

“Just because we can’t do everything, it doesn’t mean we should do nothing at all” said Archbishop Justin Welby, in a video where he voiced his support for our appeal.

Prayers Across Europe for Peace in Ukraine

Over 11,000 people watched our 'Prayers Across Europe for Peace in Ukraine' livestreamed event. Our Churchwarden in Kyiv, Christina was one of the paticipents at our pan-diocesan service. She said ‘Please pray for us as we are standing here for our land and for our roots. The battle for Kyiv has begun; it is fierce and intensive. Pray for us.’
