Welcome to our latest Pioneering & Fresh Expressions newsletter with news, events, training opportunities and meet-ups. We would love to have any feedback or items that you think would be of interest to others who are interested in pioneering and fresh expressions.
 

24 MARCH PIONEER GATHERING

Mission, FX and engaging with unchurched young people with Andy Milne
We are pleased to have Andy Milne join us to explore the important area of mission, FX and unchurched young people. Andy is Director of the Missional Youth Church Network (MYCN ) which works with churches and dioceses to create context appropriate and missional youth churches. MYCN run hybrid Learning Communities to help youth leaders develop and learn together. Read more and register.

2022 PIONEER GATHERINGS 

Our successful monthly gatherings, where pioneers share their wisdom, are continuing. These will alternate between in-person meet ups and external speakers via zoom. 
 24 March: 11.15-12.45 Online Zoom Meeting with Andy Milne, see above.
17 April: 11.15-12.45 In person, St Leonard's Streatham. Details to be confirmed. 
19 May: 12.00-2.00 Online Zoom Meeting with Mark Rodel, Development Officer for Fresh Expressions and Pioneer Ministry in the Diocese of Ely.

16 June: 11.15-12.45 In person, details to follow.
July: We hope to host a Summer Gathering at Bishop's House. Details to be confirmed (or not!).

SEEKING NEW LAY PIONEERS

Are you, or someone you know, interested in learning about becoming a Pioneer in Southwark Diocese? We have a number of introductory sessions that explore the roles of Lay Pioneers. There is no need to have any previous experience or even be sure that this is for you!
  7 April: 7.30-8.30pm, with David Cundill. Read more and register.
  16 May: 7.30-8.30pm, with Ian Mobsby. Read more and register.
2022 UP & COMING EVENTS
Saturday 14 May 2022: Southwark Cathedral does Messy Science.
An event open to all with a focus on creation, science and climate justice through storytelling, activities and song. Full details.

Thursday 23 June: CCX Conference, St Mark's Kennington
Hosted by Father Hugo Adán and Canon Will Cookson. Stories and seminars on church planting and new ways of church. Full details.

fxC RESEARCH

Eido Research have just published some initial findings on fresh expressions through a Fruitfulness Framework. It shows why we must move beyond measuring what is easy to measure to what matters. Read their research here.
