This month, we are sharing information about National Child Exploitation Awareness Day, on the 18th March. Hillingdon have a wealth of resources and information available to you to help create more awareness around a topic which is sensitive, worrying and often misunderstood.
There is more and more talk around child exploitation, but what does it really mean for our young people and how it affects us as parents and the family unit as a whole.
We have to remember that Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) and Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) can happen to anyone. Asking for support is a huge skill in itself. Many people are so used to dealing with life's downs on their own, and putting a brave face on and carrying on. Please reach out.
We hope you find the resources here useful. However if there is any support you feel you need that is not listed here, please get in touch and we will do our best to find the right guidance and help.
We also have included a podcast on the science of sleep with teenagers, which is well worth a listen, and a few photos from our recent visit to the Beck Theatre in Hillingdon, where we celebrated International Women's Day.
Our Brilliant Parents/Hillingdon page has lots of relevant links to services in the borough and do remember our Hillingdon Facebook page. We would love you to get involved.

ACAMHS The Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services has a podcast which is available on any of the following platforms:
SoundCloud, iTunes, Spotify, CastBox, Deezer, Google Podcasts and Radio.com.
This week we listened to A brilliant new podcast from celebrated neuroscientist Dr. Dean Burnett, author of The Idiot Brain. Dean explores the typical teenage sleep pattern and how we can support our teens.
What is the relationship between sleep and mental health and why do some teenagers need more sleep than others? Are they just lazy or is there a good reason for the longer and/or more erratic sleep patterns?

International Womens Day #BreakTheBias
Brilliant Parents had a great day at the Beck Theatre celebrating International Womens Day, hosted by My Health, Hillingdon Women's Centre and Hillingdon Women in the Community.
We were proud to be there and show our support and learn about the other fantastic organisations in Hillingdon supporting and celebrating what it is to be a woman.
Here are a few photos from the day.
