Dear <<First Name>>
Over the last 2 years many of us have experienced increased stresses on our mental health, experienced feelings of isolation, and struggled with other difficulties. We have also learnt that no matter what challenges we face in our lives, we can overcome them.

Walking With The Wounded has walked with our veterans and their families for the past decade and has supported them through our employment, mental health, and criminal justice programmes. To date, we have supported over 12,700 of the most vulnerable ex-servicemen, ex-servicewomen, and their families.  We could not have done that without support from wonderful fundraisers like yourself challenging yourself on our behalf.

Some other statistics that we are very proud of are -
  • Our team of caseworkers have recorded 5096 positive outcomes for our service users, which could be anything from security legal advice, to improving physical health, from finding secure accommodation to engaging with community groups so as to improve social inclusion.
  • Within our mental health programme, Head Start, we’ve enabled over 17,000 of 121 therapy since 2014, delivered by our network of accredited therapists around the UK.  Sessions are delivered within 10 miles of the veterans home and with the first session delivered within 10 days of receiving the completed referral paperwork.
  • Since 2015 we’ve supported our veterans to 1236 paid jobs, providing security and financial independence for them and their families.
With your support, we continue to be there for the most vulnerable and hard to reach veterans.

Your contribution over the last 10 years, no matter how small has made a big difference to the lives of those who served.  Over the past decade, the team at WWTW has demonstrated how a small action can start a veteran’s journey to a life of independence.
These stories demonstrate that small steps and acts of support can make big impacts over time. A single phone call lifted a veteran out of homelessness and a pair of shoes helped a veteran to secure a job and enjoy financial security.
We are extremely grateful and humbled by the extraordinary efforts that so many people like you are making on our behalf and thank you for your support.  To see in full how your latest fundraising has made a difference see our Impact report below.
