Dear Kesher Torah Family —
This Shabbos is a very special Shabbos, not only because it is Shabbos Zachor (the Shabbos before Purim) but it’s Hamantaschen Shabbos! Our wonderful friend, Jonathan Lewin, treats our Congregation each year to the most incredible Hamantaschens you’ll ever taste and it’s time this Shabbos! Please join us after davening this Saturday at approximately 11:30 AM for a dairy kiddush sponsored by Jonathan. If you have not had these tasty treats before, you’re in for a pleasant surprise! Also, we want to once again thank Mordechai and Kim Snyder for their generous and delicious Chinese food kiddush last Shabbos! By all accounts it was amazing! If you want to sponsor a kiddush, please let us know. We have various predetermined options that simplify the selection process.
Speaking of Purim, lots and lots of fun and excitement at Kesher Torah. Our Purim Party will be held Thursday March 17th starting at 4:45 PM. Food and entertainment (you won't forget the entertainment!) are planned and we’ll have a blast! Please dress up in your favorite costume and prepare to have fun! Scroll down to our Purim flyer for our Megilla reading and davening schedules and for more general information. There will be a nominal charge for this event.
We would also like to announce that our wildly successful MLB (Minyan, Learning and Breakfast) series has concluded. We are working on a follow-up program to be rolled out in the near future. In the meantime the M continues! We will continue with a Sunday morning 9:00 AM Minyan. Men please arrive a few minutes for 9 AM to put on tefillin so we can begin at 9AM.
We would like to give a BIG Mazel TOV to Yaakov Joel on the occasion of his Bar Mitzvah, this Shabbos! Congratulations Yaakov for reaching this milestone in your life! Congratulations also to Grandparents Malcolm and Lynette and Parents Josh and Sari Joel!
We also want to remind you about the Temima High School for Girls Musical Production of "Ahoy, My People,” taking place March 21st & March 22nd at 7:30 PM, AJA Theatre. There is a flyer further down in this newsletter with more information.
While on the subject of flyers, please always scroll down to the very bottom of the newsletter so you don't miss any event flyers.
Have a wonderful Shabbos,
Greg
