• Youth Group - Continues This Sunday at 4pm (March 13). We will meet in OSLC’s conference room at 4pm for a snack, fellowship, games, and a lesson. This spring, we’ll be talking about the faith questions of our youth.
  

• In-Person Worship - We’re so thankful that COVID numbers have come down significantly since the middle of January. On Sunday, February 27, Council approved a few changes to worship as follows, beginning THIS Sunday, March 6:

  • Communion distribution will be put back in its typical place during the service and will continue at the rail. During communion distribution, we will place the camera on the organ/ piano.

  • We are reintroducing congregational singing, with the sending hymn being sung by the congregation. It is our sincere hope to be able to add more singing by Easter. But we are so excited to be taking this step.

  • Fellowship/ Coffee Hour will resume following worship. We will meet in the large stage room in the Hall for coffee, snacks, and fellowship.

  • Masking update. Our masking requirements/ guidelines now align with the community levels as determined by the CDC. We do not know yet when that will be updated (likely on Fridays). Check this website (CDC) for the current community levels: COVID-19 by County | CDC.

    • Low/ Green Community Levels - Masking is optional, based on personal preference.

    • Medium/ Yellow Community Levels - Masking is strongly encouraged but not required.

    • High/ Orange Community levels - Masking is required, except during light snacking.

    • Masking is required, regardless of community level, while singing.

    • Reminder: Anyone is welcome to mask regardless of community - including worship leaders.

  • We are committed to keeping an online presence for those who aren’t comfortable or aren’t able to join us in-person. I think I have fixed the issues with Zoom. BUT if Zoom’s audio is not working, Facebook and YouTube are working well.

• Ecumenical Lent - Our ecumenical Lenten services will be held this year ONLINE only at 7pm. The schedule follows below.
  
  Next Wednesday, March 16, Williamsburg Mennonite is hosting via Zoom. The Rev. Richard Cline from Olive Branch Christian Church is preaching. The offering will benefit Williamsburg Christian Retreat Center. To join the worship service, follow this link: Williamsburg Mennonite Zoom. Note: because the service is hosted on Zoom, I will NOT be able to open our Zoom room and share the screen. Please join via their Zoom room directly.
  

• Council Meeting - Council meets NEXT Sunday, March 20 following worship. We will meet in the conference room and on Zoom, beginning around 12:15pm.
  

• 1st Quarter Congregational Meeting - We will hold our 1st Quarter Congregational Meeting on March 27, 2022 following worship. In our 1st Quarter meeting, we present the Annual Report. To give us time to compile and publish the Annual Report, please submit your reports to office@oslcnorge.org by March 1.
