A Statement from The President

Russia-Ukraine War
"Our hearts and prayers go out to Ukrainian people who are suffering the ill effects of war in their homeland. Due to the utter destruction of civilian communities, urban centers, hospitals, homes, and schools millions of Ukrainian families have become refugees in countries bordering Ukraine. It breaks our hearts to see that in the cold of winter, children suffer the trauma of war, separate from their parents, homeless, and senior Ukrainian citizens forced to leave their homes with only the clothes on their backs. In the midst of the cruel acts of war, the world is witnessing the courage, determined spirit and commitment of the Ukrainian people for their national sovereignty and peace. I encourage the American Baptist College family to pray that this war ends soon with a broader hope for Ukrainian and global peace. As difficult as the situation appears in Ukraine, let's deepen our resolve that peace and justice will prevail over sufferings of war."

— President Forrest Harris

Celebrating Women of ABC

March is Women’s History Month.  The National Women’s History Alliance has promoted the 2022 National Women’s History Month theme “Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope.”

This theme is both a tribute to the ceaseless work of caregivers and frontline workers during this ongoing pandemic and also a recognition of the thousands of ways that women of all cultures have provided both healing and hope throughout history, according to the Alliance.

We are pleased to highlight some of the many women associated with American Baptist College for their outstanding contributions.
