Innovation in Vocational Placements
WorkAbility Qld has partnered with TAFE Queensland and Community Resource Unit to deliver two major initiatives that support quality student vocational placements, and explore the potential for assessment and vocational placements to be led by people with lived experience of disability
The NDIS Vocational Placement Resource Kit - Available Now!
Make a student vocational placement happen - whether you are an RTO or employer in the disability or community services sector, with the new NDIS Vocational Placements Resource Kit produced by TAFE Queensland. The Resource Kit is FREE and contains fact sheets and short learning videos across six topics to support vocational placement experiences in multiple settings.

Exploring Practice Frameworks
Take a look at investigations into student vocational placement models which explore the potential for assessment and placements to be led by people with lived experience of disability in a report and fact sheets produced by Community Resource Unit .

The Placement Agency Model
In a new trial for the sector, Community Resource Unit will lead the implementation of a Placement Agency; a model working with people with lived experienced of disability, as assessors and workplace supervisors to support a cohort of students on the Certificate III Individual Support to complete their vocational placement in the homes of people with disability.

Six Workforce Planning Connect workshops will take place across Queensland regions from March-May for HR Officers, workforce planners and people involved in recruitment to put into action their Workforce Planning Connect Toolkit for the Disability Sector.
