Following the CDC's most recent guidance that masking can be optional in communities at low or medium risk for COVID transmission, as well as the state of Oregon's lifting of its indoor mask mandate, face coverings will be optional at Cozy, beginning Saturday, March 12.
We are still recommending that you wash or sanitize your hands while shopping, and masks are still free and available (and encouraged) for anyone who wants one. For everyone's safety, if you are feeling sick or suspect that you have been exposed to COVID, please stay home and we can hold your necessities for a later date or arrange for curbside pickup.
Because we know that some people still need continued precautions, we will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 11 and 12, for a "Masquerade Hour" of masked-only shopping (maybe we'll go crazy and play the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack!). Face Masks, covering the nose and mouth, will be required during that first hour of the day, without exception, for everyone in the shop.
If our county's COVID transmission rate returns to "high," or if the CDC changes its recommendations on indoor masking, we will revisit Cozy's policy and adapt. Like the best circular needle cords, we're flexible, and we have always appreciated your willingness to be flexible with us!
