Homing in on Rivers fundraiser.

Homes represent many different things. For humans they can be places of safety, places to return to, places of food, places of community and much more. For many species, our rivers are their only home.

This April we will be taking part in the Big Give's Green Match Fund to help raise funds that will help us to continue protecting the Westcountry's rivers.

With our Homing in on Rivers campaign, we are hoping to raise £5,000 to give nature a place to call home.

The campaign will be live from 12pm on 22 April until 12pm on 29 April.

Our 2021 Annual Review

Find out how we adapted and evolved our working practices throughout 2021 to continue doing our best for the region’s rivers and freshwater environments.

Visit our Annual Reviews page to discover some of the things we achieved such as the fabulous increase in active river monitoring volunteers, the generous donations to our first public fundraiser with The Big Give, and the planting of 13,000 trees to help improve river health.

Thank you to all who support our work.

Improving fish migration at Parke Weir.

We are working with the National Trust and Environment Agency to improve fish migration at the weir situated in the National Trust's Parke estate on the River Bovey.

The River Bovey is an important tributary of the Teign catchment, and is a stronghold for Atlantic salmon and Sea trout in the southwest. The Teign catchment also hosts the iconic and protected European eel.

Free plastic waste audits

As part of the Preventing Plastic Pollution project, we are working hard to help minimise plastic entering the River Tamar. We believe that by adopting plastic-free practices, businesses can play a key role in helping us achieve this.

We are offering FREE plastic waste audits to businesses in the Tamar catchment (possibly wider so do still enquire) to help make any plastic-free transition as easy as possible.

Our free plastic waste audits, valued at around £500, will give you a clear view of how much waste your organisation is producing. We offer advice and solutions to help you reduce waste and make your practices more sustainable.
