As We Approach the Two Year Mark of the Pandemic

Our theme for this season is mental illness. This is a disability that many people are very uncomfortable with. Unfortunately, talking about it and walking alongside persons with mental illness doesn’t happen nearly often enough. It’s only when we can talk about mental illness openly, with care and concern and a willingness to understand how important it is, that we can help/support people. The pandemic has led to many people having their pre-existing mental illness aggravated, and many others developing debilitating mental health issues, and the pandemic isn’t nearly over yet. So, let’s all learn more about how we can support and encourage our brothers and sisters with mental health issues. Be sure to read Michèle Gyselinck’s heartfelt article on her experience with mental illness.
