• You hear it from us on a regular basis: do not perform updates directly, let us handle it. In fact, that notice is in the header of this email campaign template!
• Having said that, there are a tiny handful of exceptions, one of which is for anyone using WooCommerce.
• Every now and then, you'll see a notification on your dashboard to Update WooCommerce Database. These are unique per install and are sometimes required after Venture deploys a code update for that functionality.
• Everything continues to work so there's no concern over site visitors not being able to complete a transaction. 
• If you do see that notice after logging in, it's okay to select the "Update WooCommerce Database" button to initiate the process.
• After initiating, you'll see a message about the update rolling out in the background. There's even a button to "View Progress" but we can assure you, it's as fascinating as watching paint dry and filled with database-speak, so don't feel bad if you click away to do something productive 😄
• When in doubt: don't do anything. Just drop us a note and we can initiate it for you.
