The deadline for our Shorts Fund is March 21 by 5 PM HST.

The Shorts Fund provides funding for fiction and nonfiction projects that are engaging and artistically innovative on subject matters that cover issues important to indigenous Pacific Islanders.

Selected projects receive up to $25,000 in funding.

Pacific Heartbeat Season Eleven launches in April with an intimate look at student-led environmental activism and a live online event for Earth Day 2022. 

Pacific Heartbeat is an anthology series that provides viewers with a glimpse of the real Pacific – its people, cultures and contemporary issues. The new season will be available to viewers on U.S. public television and online, beginning April 4, 2022, on WORLD Channel, and will be carried by PBS stations nationwide beginning in early May.

Pacific Pulse Season 4 is underway! The first two episodes are available on our YouTube channel, and a new episode will debut each week through April 14. 

The first six episodes are part of Reel Wāhine of Hawai‘i, a film series that redresses gender inequity in the film industry by documenting the real-life stories of Hawai‘i women filmmakers through a female gaze. Filmed by all-women crews, these short portraits reveal untold stories of local activists and artists who preserve Hawai‘i history and culture through film.
