March 2022

Meet our new consulting audiologist!

Dear Friend of BHA,

It's my great pleasure to introduce our new consulting audiologist Ellen.

Ellen will help us with the clinical aspects of the services we offer, including providing clinical advice and oversight to our BHA Hearing Help Desk, our online learning modules, our industry commentary and hearing loss articles, and she will be the independent expertise behind our Hearing Access Program.

Speaking of the BHA Hearing Help Desk, in this newsletter we add two new sections. We'll occasionally highlight one of our services and this month it's the BHA Help Desk, our government-funded service providing information, referral and advocacy services on hearing loss.

We also add a What's On section so you can keep track of activities of interest to people in the hearing loss community.

Until next time.

SERVICE HIGHLIGHT

BHA Hearing Help Desk

BHA receives government funding from Queensland Health to provide information, referral and advocacy services to meet the demand for information regarding hearing health and the hearing health service system. Our goal is to ensure people have access to the information and supports they need.
We are now adding an "Ask the Aud" service for people who may want more information about specific aspects of hearing loss. We feature two questions from this new series below. You can ask your own question by emailing our audiologist.

Read more about our Help Desk or ask a question here.

Our Latest Articles

We produce a range of articles and information about hearing loss and how to manage it. We highlight our latest here but you can find them all on our website under our News section.
