Bishop Ruben Saenz Jr. is asking that Sunday, March 6, be set aside as a day of prayer for the people of Ukraine and the entire situation surrounding the conflict. The Bishop also announced that the Great Plains Conference is donating $25,000 to the United Methodist Committee on Relief, or UMCOR, to “alleviate the humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Ukraine.”

CHANGE IN MASKING GUIDELINE
Based on the updated CDC guidelines, expired county health order, and current county transmission indicator, masks will now be optional in our buildings.
As a faith community called to love one another, we care for all persons and know that people are at different places in their comfort level and health situation. We encourage you to take appropriate steps to care for yourself and for others.

Bible Presentation Sunday, March 6, 10:00 am at the West Campus. Thanks for your prayers and shared words of encouragement for our Bible class!
Join us for this one-of-a-kind art show displayed along the Wesley Walking Trail at the First Church West Campus! It is free and open to the public through April. While the walking trail is beautiful in itself, the art displayed among the trees, near the pond, and along the trail will surely make it something to remember. Read more about the event here.
WesleyKU held an Ash Wednesday service on March 2, and Pastor Susan Mercer was on Wescoe Beach from 11a-1p for “Ashes to Go,” offering the imposition of ashes to those who could not attend an Ash Wednesday Service.
Worship is held weekly at 7p at Westwood House. Prayer Yoga is offered M-F at 8a, followed by coffee with Josh. Pizza with the Pastors begins Tuesday at 6p. Please check our newsletter for additional activities.
