Elvin Melendez (above) is a Recording Artist who also serves as Praise and Worship Leader at Gateway Christian Fellowship in West Haven, CT.  A native of the Bronx, New York, he is well known by his followers as a winner of the Apollo Theater Gospel Competition. He has done the opening bids for seven-time Grammy® Award Nominee - John P. Kee and Dove® Award Nominee - Alvin Slaughter. Elvin was also part of a choir ensemble singing “You Raised Me Up” for Grammy Award Nominee – Josh Groban. 

With the release of his recent EPs titled: “More of You” and “Without You,” Elvin combines genres of RB, Pop, and Gospel influences in his music. He is passionate about the arts and working with young people in pursuit of their passions. This includes acting in musical theater.
