The Pathway to Health department directors traveled to Indianapolis this week to meet with community partners and make on-site preparation for the upcoming Mega-Clinic coming soon to Lucas Oil Stadium. While here the team also attended the Lake Union United Cry Prayer Conference. CEO Ivan Golubic and Medical Director Dr. Julie Bryson taped two Hope for Live broadcasts with Pastor Vic Van Schaik. These programs will be aired in the next few weeks and will be available on our YouTube channel in the future. In addition, Pathways to Health will be featured in an upcoming 3ABN program.
General Conference President Ted Wilson invites you to volunteer for the Pathway to Health Mega-Clinic in Indianapolis.
Join the Volunteer Team for Pathway to Health!
March 31 is the deadline to register as a volunteer for Pathway to Health. Opportunities remain for both medical and non-medical personnel.
Thank you for being part of this once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Pathway to Health is fast approaching, and we are calling on our lay members to not only volunteer to help during the clinic, but to also help us get the word out across Indianapolis.
On April 2 & 3 and April 9 & 10 (rain dates) we will be distributing invitational flyers in specific Indianapolis neighborhoods through individual church groups coordinated by local pastors or designated leaders. Please consider putting these dates on your calendar and coming out to help.
If you are not in the central Indiana region, we can still use your help as there are over 50,000 flyers to distribute throughout the city. If interested in being assigned to assist with one of the Indy area churches, please contact Mary Ann Smith at the Indiana Conference office: 317-844-6201; masmith@indysda.org.
This is a wonderful opportunity to help the city be aware of the Pathway to Health event.
If you have any questions or would like to arrange a specific drop-off time, please contact Mary Ann Smith M-Th at 317.844.6201 or masmith@indysda.org.
Building Orley Ford Adventist University
El Salvador
Mission trips have long been an integral part of shaping the culture of Cicero church. For over 25 years groups of Cicero members, students from Indiana Academy, and friends from other churches, both in and out of Indiana, have gone together nearly every spring to serve all over the world.
In 2014, the El Salvadorian Conference extended a special invitation to our mission team to join with them in building over 200 churches in El Salvador. The need there was great; and the love, sacrifice, and willingness of the leaders and members in El Salvador have allowed for 100 churches to be built thus far. Our mission focus has also broadened to include the building of the first Seventh-day Adventist university in El Salvador.
From March 10 – 21, 2022, a group of about 40 volunteers from the Cicero church are building at the university, conducting a Vacation Bible School, and offering a medical/dental clinic. In addition, two new church buildings are being dedicated. It is such a blessing to see and help God’s work advance all over the world!
