Lenten Mission

Each year, our parish hosts a Lenten Mission. It is an opportunity to set aside time to pray, meditate, and reflect, and most importantly, do this as a community. The Mission is a time of renewal of our relationship with God and each other. We are pleased to announce that we have invited Talitha Lemoine to lead us in our Lenten Mission this year! She is the Atlantic Regional Director of Catholic Christian Outreach, a university ministry. Join us on on March 28, 29 and 30 at 7pm (that’s Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday). Night 1’s theme is ‘Love’s Initiative’, Night 2’s theme is ‘Love is Offered’, and Night 3’s theme is ‘Love is Shared’.

Mass Changes

  • Mass on Wednesday, March 9th will be re-scheduled to 4pm at SVDP, following Adoration from 1-3pm.
  • Mass on Tuesday, March 29th will be celebrated at 12pm to accommodate the Lenten Mission.

Throughout the month of February, our new 3 Year CTK Pastoral Plan was presented to parishioners through a series of virtual Town Halls. Almost 200 parishioners participated in English speaking town hall sessions (including one with an interpreter for our deaf community members), a children’s session, and a French session. All 2021 tax receipts that have not already been picked up will be mailed out. Envelopes for giving are still available to be picked up at the parish office.

If you’re looking to take on something for Lent, why not try Formed.org? There are several video series that are made specifically for viewing during Lent. You could try Whole 40: Making a Spiritual Plan for Lent or Living Lent as a Family, for example.

At 7pm on March 7th the CWL at STM will hold their first general meeting after a long COVID-induced break, due to COVID. It will be in the auditorium, and masks will be required. Members are urged to attend so important issues can be discussed.
