Lismore Floods

Lismore, on the north coast of NSW has suffered a devastating flood in the last week or so, and with the Catholic Schools office and 6 schools being severely impacted, our colleagues in the Diocese of Lismore are doing their best to support staff and students.
At least two companies from the CEnet community, Datacom and Google have stepped forward with offers of assistance and we thank them for their generosity.

Details of the The Diocese of Lismore 2022 Flood Appeal can be found in the CSO website.

New Reading Support Tools from Microsoft

Microsoft have just released a new tool to support reading the classroom with updates to the Reading Progress tool.  Reading Coach complements the current portfolio of tools supporting students in developing critical literacy skills, including Reading Progress, Education Insights, Immersive Reader, and more.
Once a student uploads a Reading Progress assignment, Reading Coach automatically identifies words that the student struggled with and creates additional opportunities for practice. The new feature provides guidance on the correct pronunciation and syllabification, shares visuals to help vocabulary recall, and positively reinforces students to help build their confidence as readers. Ali and
