March Meeting: Kimberly Agbayani - Tolt Icelandic Wool Month

Tolt Yarn and Wool is a neighbourhood knitting shop located in Carnation, Washington, a town nestled amongst the Cascade Mountain Range.  March is Icelandic Wool Month at Tolt Yarn and Wool.  Operations Manager Kimberly Agbayani will chat about the properties of Icelandic wool, the classic Lopapeysa sweater and show us the sweater patterns that are designed for them each year – there’s a Canadian connection with their 2021 design!   Winter is still hanging in there, so please join us for a friendly, woolly and warm conversation at Tolt!  You’ll love the colours & designs.

Book Review : The Fabric of Civilization - How Textiles Made The World
TKG guild member Genevieve Chornenki recently read a fascinating book discussing the role of textiles over time and spanning civilizations. She's written a compelling review of the book that makes us want to rush out and grab a copy of it to read right now! It sounds like a fascinating read that might be of interest to many of our members. Learn more about "The Fabric of Civilization - How Textiles Made the World" and read Genevieve's gripping review of the book on our website here.
