After this quick refresh, spring skiing is on! And boy do we love hitting the slopes in spring. First, the snow is amazing. Ever heard of spring corn? Second, gorgeous warm weather means more time for après! Enjoy this post-ski ritual by hanging with friends and family on sunny ski area decks or head back to Trucke and enjoy the local scene at Truckee’s bars and breweries.

TWO NEW SNOW PLAY AREAS IN TRUCKEE
Truckee’s has two new snow play areas ten minutes from Historic Downtown! The first is Donner Lake's West End Beach, a great spot for making a snowman with gorgeous views. The second is Old Greenwood Snow Play, located off of Interstate 80. Take exit 190 for Overland Trail and park in the cleared lot on the northwest side of the highway. Thank you, Truckee Donner Land Trust, for plowing the parking area and opening this spot for family fun on the snow!
Have fun and please remember to Leave No Trace by packing out all garbage, dog waste, and sleds. For more family-friendly snow play areas, check out our Sustainable Truckee Winter Recreation Map (Beta).
