Can you feel the coming spring? Signs are everywhere, from the rapid snow melt to Daylight Savings Time on March 13 (set those clocks ahead one hour!). We’re feeling the creative juices flowing as well and are excited to welcome you to an upcoming class. It’s easier than you think to make your own maple syrupcrochet granny squares, and ferment your own foods. If you’re looking for a skills-building class, our amazing instructors will teach you how to carve stonebuild a wooden paddle, and make a glove basket. Instructor Laurelei Creuzer will share the history and traditions of “Pysanky” (Ukrainian Easter eggs) as she guides you through the process of waxing and creating Ukrainian eggs. This is an intergenerational class, free for students aged 12-17 when accompanied by a registered adult! Don’t miss this class on Saturday, March 12. We are holding the Ukrainian people in our hearts! 
Eager to put paddle to water? Spend the time until ice-out building your own bent-shaft canoe paddle! In this 9-hour class (spread out over 3 days), you’ll learn about wood selection and grains, use of hand tools and skill saw, paddle design and considerations, and paddle sizing. By the end of the class, you will leave with a completed bent shaft paddle ready for varnishing. Only 4 spaces are available for this class, March 18-22.

This hands-on class is designed for kids ages 9-14. We provide everything your student needs to learn photography including a digital camera that they will get to keep! Taking place over two consecutive Saturday mornings (3/19 & 3/26), you’ll love spending time with a young person in your life and helping them learn skills that will last a lifetime. Register now!
