SH 358 RAMP PROJECT LANE CLOSURES PAUSE FOR SPRING BREAK March 7-20: eastbound mainlanes, ramps, frontage road, turnarounds will remain open
CORPUS CHRISTI – Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) contractors for the SH 358 (South Padre Island Drive) Ramp Reversal Project will pause lane closures for Spring Break in an effort to reduce traffic congestion during the holiday.
Beginning Monday, March 7, TxDOT will pause lane closures between Ayers Street and Nile Drive. However, contractors may continue working behind concrete traffic barriers or during emergencies. Daytime and nighttime lane closures will resume Monday, March 21, after the Spring Break holiday.
Drivers are reminded the speed limit in the project work zone remains 55 mph on the mainlanes and 40 mph on the frontage road.
