SYO's 50th Birthday weekend.
Big Moor on Saturday: Blue - Quentin Harding 1st and 1st M60. Green - Ruth Ker 7th and 1st W55.
Wharncliffe on Sunday: Short Blue - John Birtwistle 12th and 6th M65 and Andy Bowes 17th. Short Green - Susan Birtwistle 31st and 10th W65. Blue - Quentin 1st and 1st M60. Green - Ruth 1st and 1st W55.
Both days were physically very challenging so all those who competed are now undoubtedly fitter and tougher. Quentin appreciates their efforts to be peaking in time for the CCT heat in two weekends time.
Ruth and Quentin are chuffed with their towels (awarded to cumulative winners) and Ruth is delighted that the leg taken out of the Green course at Wharncliffe (due to a control missed out on the loose descriptions) was also the one she made a mess of :)
The glorious sunshine made a nice change. The cafe serving soup as well as tea and cake was much appreciated. Thank you to SYO.

Pine Woods Junior Event 5th March 2022

The next Claro Junior Orienteering event is coming up on Saturday 5^th March in the Pinewoods in Harrogate.
Where will we be? Come to the parking area near the Harrogate Spring Water bottling plant, Harlow Moor Road HG2 0QB, and look for the Claro feather flag.

New Orienteering Coaching

Yes, we are going to be running a short session before the event to help you improve your orienteering skill. We will cover essential skills for those who are just starting in the sport and add more challenge for those who are more experienced.
Come along 30 minutes earlier to join one of the coaching slots which will be at 1.30pm and 2pm. Meet at the registration tent. No charge for coaching
