Faith Diary
Lent is a time of repentance, a time to slow down, to look at our lives in order to take stock of where we are and where we want to go. It is therefore no accident that the first Sunday of Lent gives us a Gospel reflection on Jesus' time in the desert. We all experience ‘desert’ times in our lives, times of physical or emotional need, during which we may be tempted to rely on our own strength and reject the call of the Spirit. Lent is a time for doing things differently, for doing as Jesus did, for rejecting the many temptations we are presented with daily, and turning back to God instead. It is a time for each of us to reject our pride and self-reliance, to humbly take His hand and let him guide us on the path of loving self-denial that will lead us through the Lenten desert to the glory of Easter Sunday.

Creative Coding
This week our Year 6 pupils were introduced to the Micro:bit coding hardware. The pupils explored how to write code, input this onto the Micro:bit and then see the output on the hardware display. Luna said "This is awesome", Emily said "Where can I buy one", an exciting lesson for all the pupils.
