St. Mary Families,

This past week we welcomed our new bishop to the Gaylord Diocese, Bishop Walsh. I want to thank all of the students that helped in making the Ordination such a meaningful celebration. Our school is especially proud of Andrew Rosser, Ben Cherry, David Wahl, Adam Wahl, and Lilly Belanger, who served and sang in the choir, and Lydia Kirk, Claudia DeLeo, Rose Cruz, and Madalyn Jewett for greeting guests.  We are also very appreciative of the high school students who moved tables and chairs in preparation of the reception.  It was a “family event”, all hands on deck!

We look forward to Bishop Walsh's first visit to our school for Irish tea and scones hosted by our home economics class on March 15th.

Congratulations to our girls basketball team for their win over Bellaire, claiming the District Championship and moving into Regional play this Tuesday. Our boys basketball team begins District play this Monday, facing Boyne Falls at Central Lake.
