A NOTE FROM MRS. LANZ

Dear Parents,

It's hard to believe we are headed into the final quarter of the 2021-2022 school year! I have so much gratitude for your support all year, and the strong community that surrounds CHS/CJHS students, staff, and families. There are so many benefits to be received by contributing to, and receiving from our Christian Community. One thing that we've all learned over the past two years is the importance of being in relationship with others.

God created us to be in relationship, and to share our gifts to support and encourage others. In 2 Cor 6, Paul says “He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” I pray you and your family are enjoying being engaged and involved in our Christian Junior/Senior High community, and are able to experience it’s many benefits through giving and receiving.

If you are not yet as involved as you’d like to be, please consider connecting with other parents on your student's team, extracurricular activities, or joining our PTF to support our amazing staff. I can promise that the rewards you experience, will far outnumber the sacrifices made. Making the effort to be an active participant, also allows us to openly show appreciation for the abundant blessings He showers down in our everyday lives.

SUPER STAR PEP RALLY

Tuesday is our Super Star Pep Rally where the top athletes you voted for will get a chance to compete for the title of all school Super Star Athlete! Please plan on wearing uniform bottoms and Class Shirts/Class Colored Tops to support your class and cheer on your athletes at the pep rally. Athletes will be allowed to change into athletic wear to compete before the rally.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Community Service requirement this school year has been reduced to 10hrs. All service hours log sheets are due to Mrs. Blake according to the following deadlines:
· Seniors due Friday, April 29th
· All others due Friday, May 6th
Any service log sheets turned in after these dates will not be counted towards the 10hr service requirement for the 2021-22 school year.
Please direct any questions to Mrs. Blake.

PTF Corner: We are looking for a couple of families who would like to donate a staff blessing for the month’s of January and February. Please email Emily Roberts for details emily.roberts@christianunified.org.

PTF MEETING - MARCH 10th

Unfortunately we are going to have to move this week's PTF meeting to next Thursday March 10th at 8 am. Please accept my apologies if this causes an inconvenience.
Look forward to seeing you all next week!

The meeting will be held at 8am on the 2nd floor of the cafe.

March 10th's PTF meeting will include the election for next year's board members.

Jr. High Yearbook: Attention all junior high students and parents. The CJHS yearbook class needs your help. Please upload any pictures you take from events, games, spirit days, homecoming, 7th grade camp, classroom activities, fun times with friends, and any other picture you think would be great to have in the yearbook. We can’t be at everything and we’d like to make sure everyone is featured in this year’s yearbook. You can upload your pictures at:

Donations: Our JH Bible Classes are collecting Kleenex boxes and Wipes to distribute to all our JH Classes. It would be great if every JH family could send one or more of each. Our little ministry to our JH teachers

D-Teams: D-Teams will start soon. D-Teams are our voluntary discipleship groups that meet each week at lunch with a teacher leader.

Order ahead to save time! Boonli is the ordering site for the Oasis and orders must be submitted by 10am on the day before it is needed. You can order for several days and/or up to several weeks in advance. For the Café: Only Juniors and Seniors can access the Café during lunch time. Take out orders only! You can order up to 15 minutes before service for the Café. You may experience a long wait time due to volume if your orders are not made in advance.
